Media RelationsKamino Germany triples logistics capacity - new facility opening in April 2007
Kamino Germany will move to a new state-of-the-art logistics building at the Munich-Airport Office Park in the spring of 2007. With an area of nearly 10,000 sqm, the investment of €10 million will ensure the facility is equipped to handle the next generation of logistics clients in view of physical handling and storage of products as well as in-house developed IT systems.
The facility will host a semi-automatic high racking system for 5,000 pallets and a separate temperature controlled area of 1,500 sqm for the storing and pick & pack of pharmaceuticals. Kamino Munich offers a number of tailor-made solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, including the employment of qualified pharmaceutical staff and IT systems which will facilitate the full visibility of lot-number administration throughout the total supply chain.
Another area of 2,000 sqm is planned for the handling of high-tech electronic components (CPU’s, RAM’s, EPROM’s etc.) in anti static ESD rooms.
